Overview
Ben, a young boy, reflects on how many kids at school have two parents, while it’s just him and his mom. He loves his mother deeply-she tells him funny stories, helps with homework, and makes pancakes on Saturdays. However, Ben starts to wonder why he doesn’t have a dad like the other kids. One day, while his tired mom cooks dinner after work, Ben gathers the courage to ask why it’s just the two of them. His mom gently explains that every family is different, and even though it’s hard sometimes, they have a special bond. She reassures Ben that, despite her fatigue from work, he’s her whole world and that their little family, even if it’s just them, is filled with love. Ben feels comforted, realizing that while he sometimes wishes things were different, their love makes their family complete-and that is enough.
