Your book fair home page is an excellent tool for all your fundraising. It is the first place book buyers land when they click your unique URL and where they learn about all the great work you do.
It’s simple to make your book fair page look welcoming and customized to your particular organization. The more you do to make your page unique, the better you will do with fundraising.
Welcome Message
This message will appear on your book fair page and is a great way to show your supporters that the book fair is a sanctioned event and invite participation
A good message is less than 40 words and contains the following elements:
A short statement about why reading and books are important to your school community or organization
Your fundraising goal and purpose for the funds, e.g. new books for the library, field trips, etc.
Indicate who wrote the note, e.g. “Washington Elementary PTA”, “Principal Sandars”, etc.
Your Logo
You can upload your school, library or organization logo to your page. This helps shoppers build confidence that they’re in the right place.
It’s simple to upload the logo. On your account dashboard, click on the “Personalize” icon to drag and drop or upload yoru logo as a jpeg or tif image.
Custom URL
When you create a fundraising account, the system generates a URL hat is unique to your organization.
This URL contains a code that is unique to you. It’s best to use this URL in ALL communications with your community as it will take people directly to your book fair page.
Book Lists
An excellent way to make your page appealing to customers is adding custom book lists. You can select from a large number of pre-built lists to display on your home page.
You can add or remove lists from your home page any time.
Adding lists to your page:
- Visit the “Personalize” area of the dashboard.
- Scroll to the bottom half of the screen to view the lists available to place on your book fair home page.
- Check the box next to a list you’d like to add to your home page.
- Lists that are added will be marked with check mark. To remove the list from your page, simply un-check it.
